About the Evolving Faith Community
What is the Evolving Faith community?
The Evolving Faith community is an online space that includes groups, discussion topics, live events, direct messaging, announcements, and more. One of the constant requests we’ve had since the inception of Evolving Faith has been for a dedicated community platform, because the wilderness can be pretty lonely and social media can be overwhelming. Through the Evolving Faith community, we are hoping to facilitate better conversations, deeper connections, a more inclusive and accessible conference, and a seamless experience for all who gather here.
Who can use the community?
The community is open to everyone: spiritual wanderers, misfits, skeptics, doubters, and believers. It’s a place to explore what “evolving faith” really means.
Does the community cost money?
No, it is free to sign up for the community and use its main features. The Community Plan grants you indefinite, free access to the platform. However, access to the Evolving Faith conference will require a separate, one-time fee.
Why is the community free?
Evolving Faith draws its revenue from the conference and the generosity of sponsors. The community helps support the mission of Evolving Faith while providing infrastructure for the conference.
Are you collecting my data?
The Evolving Faith community partners with Mighty Networks to provide its services. A list of policies and FAQs regarding data security and privacy are available from Mighty Networks. Evolving Faith does not sell your data or provide access to third parties. The newsletter includes a one-click unsubscribe button.
Participation
What if someone is being hurtful, inappropriate, or disruptive?
All members of the Evolving Faith community, including all ticket holders, are bound by the Evolving Faith Community Guidelines. If you believe that someone is violating these guidelines, you can report a post or participant. You can block participants as well.
Is there an age limit?
Members of the Evolving Faith community must be at least 13 years of age. Anyone under 18 must have the permission of their legal parent or guardian.
Åre there spaces for private conversation?
Yes, you can direct message other community members individually or in a group. There are community groups organized around shared identity and similar affinities, including groups for people who are BIPoC, LGBTQ+, disabled, and/or neurodivergent. These are private groups that members must request to join. Please respect the privacy of these groups, and only request to join if you identify with its parameters.
